Improve the whole experience—not just one surface.
This Vestavia Hills project combined work in the kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, exterior and outdoor spaces. The scope included painting the existing kitchen cabinets, updating selected bathroom fixtures and finishes, painting interior walls and trim, exterior painting, and repairing and refreshing the existing deck and screened porch.
The distinction matters: this was a renovation of an existing home, not a claim that every room or structural component was rebuilt. Retained features and targeted improvements were considered together so the work could be described clearly, priced consistently and carried through from the interior to the yard.
A coordinated set of improvements.
Kitchen + interior finishes
Existing kitchen cabinets were painted, with cabinet and door hardware included in the finishing work. Interior wall and trim painting, selected ceiling repairs and lighting updates formed the surrounding scope.
Bathroom updates
Targeted bathroom work included a vanity-top replacement, cabinet painting, selected fixture and hardware changes, and finish repairs. The focus was on specific improvements to the existing rooms rather than describing each bathroom as a complete rebuild.
Exterior + outdoor living
Exterior painting, porch-post work, deck-board and support repairs, staining, screen replacement and a screen-door replacement were combined with cleanup and targeted exterior repairs.

Know what stays, what changes and what needs attention.
A renovation does not have to replace everything to make a meaningful difference. Begin by separating the features you want to keep from the repairs and updates you need. Then look at how the work affects adjoining rooms, exterior finishes and outdoor access.
For a home you plan to live in, discuss the daily routines and spaces that need to remain usable. For a property you plan to sell or rent, distinguish condition repairs from optional presentation improvements. Either way, a written scope should make those choices visible rather than hiding them inside a single broad description.
Tell us your property’s city, the work you are considering, your working budget and timing. Photographs of the existing spaces will help prepare for the conversation.
