A custom home should be custom before the first wall goes up.
Site, plans, budget, finish level and construction strategy should work together. Wunder manages the build from preconstruction through closeout with one builder accountable for the whole picture.

A custom home takes shape from the homesite through the smallest finish decisions. Explore the living spaces, kitchen, primary suite and covered porch in our completed Trussville build.
The cheapest time to solve a problem is while it is still a drawing.
Preconstruction is where we pressure-test the build: homesite conditions, plan completeness, access, utilities, structure, finish expectations, budget alignment and the decisions that can derail a schedule if they are left too late.
One project. Many moving parts.
A custom home is a chain of dependent decisions. Good management is less about reacting quickly and more about getting the sequence right.

Homeowners who care how the house is built—not only what it photographs like.
Wunder is a better fit for clients who want a direct relationship with the builder, value documentation and problem-solving, and understand that custom construction requires decisions rather than package selections.
Good Fit
You have or are pursuing a homesite, want a custom plan or meaningful customization, and want the builder involved before construction starts.
Comparing Your Options
Bring the plans, site information and finish expectations behind each proposal. We can discuss what is included so you can compare the work—not just the total.
Before we talk about a price.
Do I need finished plans before contacting Wunder?
No. Early contact can be useful if you are still selecting a homesite or working through design. The amount of pricing certainty simply depends on how complete the plans and specifications are.
Can Wunder build from an architect's plans?
Yes. The key is making sure the construction documents, structural requirements, selections and site conditions provide enough information to define the work accurately.
Do you build outside Birmingham?
The primary focus is Greater Birmingham and surrounding communities. Submit the location through the project intake and we will confirm whether the project fits the current service radius.
What budget should I have before reaching out?
Custom-home budgets vary heavily with size, site conditions, architecture and finish level. The intake asks for a working range so the first conversation can be realistic rather than pretending every custom home has one standard price.
